PRENO's mission is to promote Race Equality in Portsmouth and SE Hants by empowering minority communities to have an effective voice and promoting good practice among service providers.
Vision
PRENO will provide a central focus for Race Equality and faith issues across South East Hampshire. It will act as a representative forum for BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) and faith organisations to present common issues to service provider organisations. It will work with service providers to improve their work on Race Equality and faith issues, particularly to ensure both jobs and services are fully accessible to members of the local BME communities. It will seek to marshal resources in support of this work and will act as an information hub for all issues concerned with services to BME community members.
What We Do...
- PRENO supports all ethnic minority communities with the race and faith agenda in the Portsmouth & South East Hants area
- PRENO provides developmental support to existing & newly formed BME groups
- PRENO identifies opportunities for collaboration between the BME communities & service providers
- PRENO organises free / subsidised training for BME groups
- PRENO offers training, auditing and consultancy services to provider agencies around Race Equality and faith related topics
